Recommended Shows
Thursday: Memphis Gold at JVs. High energy Ballston-local Blues guitarist; toured globally, played the Kennedy Center and the national anthem for the NFL; made local news for playing on balcony during the pandemic.
Friday (4/4): Too Extra at Mussel Bar (7pm). David Futrell plays keyboards and electronic drums, while 2-3 female vocalists harmonize. Then when the show is over and you are wanting more, head over to The Renegade for high-energy Uncle Jessie (9:30pm) for more female lead talent.
Saturday (4/5): The Legwarmers at The State Theater ($25; 9:30pm). You have probably seen them play The State before, perhaps on New Year’s Eve. But if you haven’t yet, your friends and neighbors will tell you that you need to check them out, sooner or later (dressing up in 80’s gear optional, but highly recommended).
Sunday (4/6): The Sound of Machines at Galaxy Hut ($10; 9pm). This will be a one-of-a-kind show of experimental music from the famous genius and YouTuber, Rich Bernett. Likely to sell out.
Save the Date
The Warped Tour Band (Saturday 4/12) at The State Theater: Emo and pop-punk tribute band covering Blink-182, Simple Plan, Green Day, Good Charlotte, All-American Rejects, Sum-41, etc. You will be belting along and banging your head to all the songs.
