Featured Shows

Tuesday (4/8): Rick Tiens’ Dead Musicians Stew at JVs
How often do you get to see pure creative magic happen live? This is a rotating selection of all-star local Dead/Jam musicians in an unrehearsed performance. And that means pure improvisational talent and syncing vibes. This week includes Tommy Murphy, John Butte, Tyrone Cabalu, Sean Watkins and Rick Tiene. 8pm. RSVP at their Facebook Event. For a video sample, click here.

Thursday (4/10): Sky King at Bronson Bierhall
A dynamic singer/songwriter/guitarist from Baltimore, MD. Sky King shows incorporate looping and unique arrangements of Rock, Reggae, and Pop favorites that you don't want to miss! Check out his great voice and cool cat energy in this video. 6pm-9pm; RSVP at the Facebook Event.

Friday (4/11): Swell at Westover Beer Garden
Start the evening outdoors at the WBG while the sun is setting (the patio was packed last Saturday night for Pete Erickson and friends). Swell will give you some groovy swinging big-sax energy. 6pm-9pm; RSVP at their Facebook event. Here is a recent clip of them at WBG.
And then when the Westover Beer Garden hard stops at 9pm (thanks to their litigious neighbors), keep the party going by heading over either to Goodbye Vienna at O’Sullivans (9:30; 80s/90s/00s party cover band) or Shake, Rattle and Roll’s Adam Mitchell’s piano bar show (9pm-12am) at Bronson Bierhall.
Saturday (4/12): Moon Landing Duo at Mussel Bar
Check out the multi-talented and creative singer’s newest venture. The fabulous Shelley Siller, also of Too Extra and Shelley Star and the Galaxy, has started Moon Landing, a glamorous acoustic duo (playing pop hits from 60’s to today). Start the evening with a little chill, some drinks, and dinner at the Mussel Bar. Moon Landing (7pm) is so new, no Youtube videos to show you yet, but here is an Instagram taste.
And then when that show wraps up, and your energy is rising, Uber over to…

The Warped Tour Band at The State Theater
This traveling emo and pop-punk tribute band covers all this hits from Blink-182, Simple Plan, Green Day, Good Charlotte, All-American Rejects, Sum-41, etc. You will be belting along, pumping your fists, and banging your head to almost every single song. Make sure to snag your ticket ($20) before they sell out. 8:30 Show; Facebook RSVP here. Check out their promo video here.
